Mareva1939, a hidden gem nestled in the elegant National Hotel on Collins Avenue, offers diners an authentic taste of Spanish cuisine complemented by a stunning Art Deco ambiance. Guests rave about the outdoor patio, where the view of the tree-lined pool enhances the dining experience, as noted by Trish Pietras, who highlighted both the exceptional food and service.
The restaurant's tapas, particularly the octopus with potato cream and duck breast, have left many in awe, with Haochen Zhou emphasizing their authenticity and superb preparation. Hang Ngo appreciated the personal touch from server Flavicon, who expertly guided the menu experience with visual aids.
However, it is the tasting menu that truly dazzles. Jeff Philibin's encounter reflects the magic of shared culinary moments, where each dish plays in harmony, culminating in a flawless Dark Chocolate Ganache. Guests like Matt Collins resonate with the carefully curated cocktail menu, reinforcing Mareva1939 as a fine-dining paradise that celebrates both vintage aesthetics and contemporary skill.
In essence, Mareva1939 is not just a meal; it's a luxurious experience worth traveling back to Miami for. A place where service, atmosphere, and food intertwine flawlessly, making every visit feel special.

Beautiful restaurant in the National Hotel. We had outdoor patio seating with stunning view of tree lined pool. Authentic food and excellent service. Highly recommend.

Very beautiful hotel and restaurant decorated in Art Deco style. Tapas and paella were amazing. My waitor Flavicon did a wonderful job to take care of us. He showed us pictures of the food when introducing the menu, which show us exactly what we get when we order.

The service here was exceptional from the moment we arrived. The food was fantastic, and Jamin is very authentic. The octopus with potato cream is an absolute must-try for tapas lovers, the duck breast was tender and flavorful, and the bone marrow was perfectly balanced—not overly oily like it often is elsewhere. Highly recommend!

My wife & I came for a special evening and were not disappointed! Waitress Maria was WONDERFUL and joyful. Great knowledge of the menu and perfect suggestion. We did the sharing menu and it was the best meal we’ve ever had. One great dish after another, each done to perfection and timed seamlessly. Wow! The Dark Chocolate Gamache was PERFECT. each bite better than the last. Chef came out to say hello...what a good man. Love this place and would come back to Miami just to eat at this wonderful restaurant. Thanks to all for a magical night.

Mareva1939 gives its guests the opportunity to fulfill the fantasy of fine dining during a more elegant time. The National's (the hotel in which Mareva operates) has lovingly preserved its deco design inside and out. Every space has a vintage feast for the eyes, and that's before you eat. The food itself is exquisite, the service friendly and prompt, and the kitchen handled my allergies and intolerances effortlessly. Whoever designed the cocktail menu cares about the craft. I don't come to Miami often, but I'll be back.

One of the best quality dinners I have had in Miami. The food was perfection! We had the artichokes, pan con tamate, bone marrow and the black rice paella. Everything was incredible! The service was excellent, the chef and manager even passed by our table just to see how everything was. Sit outside on the back patio. The pool and grounds are so beautiful!

We were staying in the National hotel and went down for a nice dinner in the outdoor seating area. The ambience was nice and the staff was very attentive. We ordered the tasting menu. It's a lot of food for two people, you get your money's worth. Flavio was a great waiter, and did warn us not to fill up on the early courses. We ended up taking dessert to go because we were so full, but everything was very tasty.

We love this restaurant. It is at The National where we have stayed twice now. The servers are great, the ambience is amazing and the food is so good. Yesterday we had breakfast outside by the pool and it was so delicious. We enjoyed a basket of assorted pastries that were fresh and delicious. I especially enjoyed the chocolate croissant and the blueberry muffin. We also had avocado toast and it was done perfectly. The coffee is also amazing. We can’t wait to have breakfast here again this week.
